The Summer of Skinny Dipping is one I will be recommending over and over again — to every teen I know. Not my cup of tea, but good review!
The summer of skinny dipping by amanda howells, it’s at one of Corrine’s unsupervised parties her parents must be smoking the crack that they later accuse her of that Mia meets Simon Ships from and sold by Amazon. Print edition purchase must be sold by Amazon. Just a personal nitpick, but I didnt’ like how Mia was a swimmer and athletic, but at the same time was made to feel obsese by skinny mother and Corinne’s friends. Then in comes Simon, with some cliche Gatsby references, and a friendship ensues.

This time I was reading this book as an ebook, and guess what, in the introduction pages there was a list of subjects that were dealt with in this book, such as ‘family’ and ‘ocean’ but also one of them was ‘death’.

Adult readers will see everything she does wrong and cringe at her inability to stick with her convictions yet applaud her for at least recognizing her own hypocrisy. The book in general was not that bad, I the summer of skinny dipping by amanda howells writing style was okay, main characters were okay, but there was a lot of drama, doing dangerous stuff gets idealized which I really don’t approve, and the plot was really a deception and that just made me dislike this book an awful lot.
